Our client, a leading company in the retail industry, is seeking a Retail IT Application Manager based in Tokyo, Japan.

This role offers the opportunity to lead and maintain technology application platforms, coordinate global solutions, and support new store openings across Japan. The position provides a chance to collaborate with international tech teams and manage local vendors, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and support retail application systems in Japan
- Manage change requests for POS, eCommerce, CRM systems
- Lead new store openings by ensuring application readiness
- Oversee project priorities, resources, and deliverables
- Collaborate with Corporate Technology team for tech initiatives
- Manage third-party vendors for service delivery and compliance

Qualifications:

- 10+ years in IT applications, 5+ years as IT Manager
- Fluent in Japanese and English
- Experience with retail POS, eCommerce, CRM solutions
- 2+ complete Retail/CRM project implementations in Japan or Asia
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems is preferred but not mandatory
