Head of Finance (M&A)

Part of very prominant conglomerate, you would be the Japan Head of Finance for a group company focusing on blockchain based solutions for the the financial services industry.

This is a unique opportunity to work in the Global HQ based in Tokyo but reporting into the Group CFO based overseas (non-Japanese).

You would be the representative in Japan with full responsibility for the regional financials, team management, reporting requirements and meetings with the board. There is a Finance Manager already in your team so your responsibility is not hands on accounting.

Specifically, the main goals would be in:

• Understanding the valuations of portfolio companies
• Establishing full monthly performance reviews of all business units
• 5 year planning and forecasting
• Revamping full cost allocation process to understand profitability at the BU and Project level
• Treasury and cash flow management
• Setting governance around M&A and investment decisions; how to value companies and make decisions on whether to enter or exit etc.
