Senior Accountant (Startup, Hybrid, 8-10m, Native Japanese a MUST)


We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant for a key role with a leading player in renewable energy. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growing startup, managing the financial aspects of renewable energy projects across Japan.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Handle journal entries, monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and prepare financial statements following Japanese GAAP.
• - Manage tax matters and coordinate with tax firms for the company and its special purpose companies (SPCs).
• - Work with major audit firms and internal teams to ensure smooth annual and quarterly audits.
• - Assist the CFO with financial planning and management to support strategic business decisions.

Qualifications:

• - Minimum of three years of accounting experience with a strong grasp of Japanese accounting standards.
• - Preferably a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• - Accounting or tax certification is a plus.
• - Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• - High integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
• - Native-level Japanese and business-level English communication skills.
