Our client, a major service provider in the retail construction field, is seeking a Project and Supply Chain Manager. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage key global construction projects and sustain pivotal client relationships within our client's expanding Tokyo office.
Responsibilities
Manage and direct construction and installation projects, ensuring efficient execution within budget.
Supervise and develop a team of project coordinators, promoting a high-performance culture.
Establish and foster business relationships, exploring opportunities for growth.
Oversee project budgets and expenses.
Coordinate supply chain activities within the Asia Pacific region.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and consultants, providing constructive feedback.
Ensure quality control through site visits and the provision of training.
Facilitate clear and professional communication with clients, handling requests and complaints.
Qualifications and Experience
Ability to comprehend and utilize architectural and technical drawings.
Comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry, with retail sector exposure being an asset.
Prior experience in contractor management on-site.
Understanding of H&S regulations.
Strong leadership skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing circumstances.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with an organizational prowess.
A background in fields such as construction management, project management, or architecture is preferred.
Proficiency in both Japanese and English languages is mandatory.
