We are seeking an experienced HR Manager for a leading law firm in Tokyo.
This role involves both strategic and operational HR tasks, ensuring smooth office and HR operations. You will report to the Head of People & Culture, Asia, and work closely with senior leaders in the region. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage HR systems and databases.
- Handle employee processes like hiring, onboarding, and exits.
- Ensure compliance with laws and company policies through accurate data management.
- Improve HR processes and manage HR audits.
- Work with EMEA HR teams to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Oversee daily office operations and ensure policy adherence.
- Manage vendor relationships and office service contracts.
- Lead and support administrative staff, promoting a positive work culture.
- Develop HR policies to improve employee experience.
- Advise on HR-related business planning and challenges.
- Lead engagement surveys to increase employee satisfaction.
- Enhance the firm's employer brand in Japan and lead recruitment.
- Oversee performance reviews and identify training needs with EMEA L&D teams.
- Manage talent, including onboarding new partners.
- Promote diversity and inclusion in the office.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, including visas and work permits.
- Oversee payroll and benefits, ensuring competitive compensation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; experience in a professional services environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese.
- Proven ability to manage complex workloads and prioritize tasks.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills.
