We are looking for an experienced Head of Compliance to lead our client's entry into Japan's cryptocurrency market.

This key role involves securing a cryptocurrency exchange license and managing regulatory relations in Japan. This position allows you to shape the future of digital finance in Japan by combining regulatory knowledge with business strategy. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the process to obtain a cryptocurrency exchange license from the Financial Services Agency (FSA), including preparing submissions and developing compliance policies.
- Build and manage the Japan crypto compliance team, ensuring strong governance and ongoing adherence to regulations.
- Act as the main contact for FSA communications, handling inquiries and staying ahead of policy changes that affect the crypto business.
- Work with leadership, legal, and product teams to align compliance strategies with market entry plans, ensuring compliance before product launch.
- Implement risk management protocols, including AML/CFT procedures, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting to maintain license requirements.

Qualifications:

- Fluent in Japanese and proficient in English.
- Over 3 years of experience in cryptocurrency exchange licensing or regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of Japan's Financial Instruments Business regulations and FSA governance.
- Successful track record in managing regulatory relationships in dynamic financial services settings.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including legal and product management.
- Knowledge of crypto CFD products and their regulations is a plus.

- ライセンス要件を維持するためのリスク管理プロトコルを実施し、AML/CFT手続き、トランザクションモニタリング、規制報告を含みます。

資格:

- 日本語に堪能で英語に堪能な方。
- 暗号通貨取引所のライセンス取得または規制コンプライアンスにおいて3年以上の経験。
- 日本の金融商品取引法規制およびFSAガバナンスについての深い理解。
- ダイナミックな金融サービス環境での規制関係管理の成功実績。
- 法務および製品管理を含むクロスファンクショナルなチームとの協働経験。
- 暗号CFD製品とその規制に関する知識があると尚可。
