Financial Controller (14m JPY, work in English!!) Hotel Pre-Opening

Our client are a major hotel / hospitality group, recruiting a Financial Controller. You'll play a key role in pre-opening for a new major property in Osaka.

The working language is English. This is a rare opportunity to work for a top company that does NOT require fluent Japanese language ability!

Responsibilities

• - Build & lead a team
• - Set up and maintain financial accounting processes
• - Ensure legal and company compliance.
• - Regularly review and balance the financial accounts
• - Ensure strong controls over assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses.
• - Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and insurance rules.
• - Create accurate management reports that match the trial balance.
• - Provide financial advice to the General Manager and hotel team to support business growth and pricing decisions.
• - Use financial systems to improve efficiency.
• - Manage capital investment projects, prepare annual capital plans, and conduct post-investment audits.
• - Manage cash flow and working capital, reconcile bank accounts weekly, and implement credit control policies.

Qualifications

• - At least 5 years of relevant experience
• - 2 years of experience in an international hotel preferred.
• - Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA).
• - Proficiency in financial software systems like OnQ, Check SCM, SUN, OPERA/OnQ PMS, MICROS, and HRLINK.
• - Must be Fluent in English.
• - Japanese language skill is helpful, but not mandatory.
