Our client are a leading consulting firm, recruiting an Indirect Tax Consulting Manager. You'll manage teams & work with a range of global clients.

You will be part of a newly-created department and have a high degree of autonomy. Our client offer hybrid / remote work & generous salary / benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead & manage teams.
• Advise on Japanese consumption tax and international VAT/GST matters.
• Prepare, review, and manage tax filings and compliance reports.
• Communicate with clients in English.
• Draft proposals, contracts, meeting minutes, and tax reports.
• Lead and manage tax-related projects, ensuring timely and high-quality service.
• Support the development of junior staff.

Requirements:

• Experience in indirect tax-related roles .
• Project management or team leadership experience.
• Native-level Japanese ability.
• Experience in VAT or consumption tax (preferred)
• ERP implementation project experience (preferred)
• Experience working overseas or on international assignments (preferred).
• Other relevant qualifications such as tax advisor, CPA, or customs broker are advantageous.
