Product Specialist - Asset Management

An investment management firm is seeking a Product Specialist to join its growing research team in Tokyo.

• Fund Selection & Due Diligence: Identify, evaluate, and monitor external investment funds across asset classes, with a strong focus on alternatives.
  
• Investment Research & Strategy: Analyze fund performance, market trends, and macroeconomic factors to guide fund selection decisions.
  
• Portfolio Construction & Asset Allocation: Work with leadership to determine optimal fund allocations within the firm's multi-asset portfolio.
  
• Manager Due Diligence: Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments of fund managers and investment strategies.
  
• Internal & External Collaboration: Engage with internal stakeholders and institutional partners to discuss fund selection rationale and portfolio positioning.
  

Mandatory

• 5+ years of experience in fund selection, investment research, or asset allocation across assets.
  
• Fluent in Japanese and English.
  

Preferred:

• Strong knowledge of multi-asset investing and alternative investment strategies.
  
• Experience in due diligence and manager research within a Fund of Funds or institutional setting
  
• CFA, CAIA, or MBA.
