Overview:
A multinational retail organization is seeking a Product Manager to oversee digital customer engagement tools such as online ordering, campaign management, and loyalty platforms. This role focuses on delivering a seamless digital experience across channels, improving store-level digital integration, and driving collaboration between internal teams and external vendors.
The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business and technology, taking ownership of product lifecycle activities-from requirements gathering to deployment-while promoting efficiency, usability, and continuous improvement in the digital product space.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Strategy & Optimization
- Assess current digital tools and workflows to identify support bottlenecks and reduce friction points
- Discover and evaluate new digital capabilities that can enhance operational and customer value
- Work closely with internal business stakeholders to align technical features with strategic objectives
- Shape mid-to-long-term product direction with clear roadmaps and measurable goals
- Drive continuous delivery improvements and efficiency gains across development cycles
Product Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement
- Manage day-to-day interactions with solution vendors, ensuring high development and support standards
- Provide subject matter expertise on digital product capabilities and trends
- Oversee issue tracking and prioritization across mobile/web platforms related to customer interaction
- Contribute to architectural and design reviews, ensuring alignment with business and tech expectations
- Translate complex requirements into clear deliverables for internal teams and external partners
- Lead coordination efforts during solution testing, integration, and rollout phases
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in digital product management, or 2 years in a lead role for mobile development projects
- Strong grasp of agile practices and iterative development
- Proven ability to synthesize data insights into business-aligned strategies
- Familiarity with cross-platform technology environments and system integration
- Working knowledge of mobile systems and architectures (iOS/Android)
- Effective communicator with experience bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on execution, issue resolution, and stakeholder alignment
- Comfortable working in bilingual environments (Japanese and English at business level)
- Adaptable and resilient in managing priorities across multiple concurrent initiatives
