Mobile Engineer (iOS or Android) - Remote Work, 12m, English OK!

We are seeking a Mobile Engineer to work on a leading English conversation app with a very large user base.

This is a rare Japan-based opportunity which does not require Japanese language ability- though it is advantageous to have. Our client also offers a highly-generous salary package.

Responsibilities:

• Come up with - and implement - app ideas.
• Collaborate with the rest of the development team to enhance the app.
• Manage requirements gathering and project specification.
• Oversee development, testing, and release processes.
• Handle application operations and address bugs.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in iOS or Android app development using Swift or Kotlin.
• Capability to implement animations using UiKit or SwiftUI.
• Experience in setting app features and specifications with skills in optimizing app performance.
• Familiarity with App Architecture, MVVM, and unit testing.
• Background in handling large user-base native apps (preferred).
• Proficiency in the Japanese language (highly preferred).
• Experience as a Lead Engineer (highly preferred).
