Merchandiser - Fashion Retail - Japan

Job Summary:
Become part of a renowned fashion brand as a Merchandiser in Tokyo and play a key role in achieving sales and sell-through targets.

Our client is a globally recognized fashion brand, famous for its sophisticated and eclectic style. With an established presence in Japan, the company is dedicated to expanding its market reach and enhancing its product offerings.

In this role, you will be accountable for creating product assortments, managing inventory, and delivering product training to store staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop buying strategy aligned with global financial objectives
• Design product assortments to fortify each door group
• Improve SKU efficiency and optimize inventory productivity
• Establish strong relationships with the NY Merchandising team
• Develop and conduct product training sessions for store staff
• Ensure timely delivery and appropriate inventory balance for each store
• Partner with the Visual Merchandising team
• Perform seasonal market research and price analyses

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in the Retail industry (Lifestyle, LG, Cosmetics, Luxury brands preferred)
• Proficient in PC skills, advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent team player and communication abilities
• Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities

• Japanese - Business level
• English - Business level
