Marketing Manager (Food & Beverage Industry)

We are looking for a skilled Marketing Manager to lead marketing activities in Japan for a top company in the Food & Beverage industry. This important role involves guiding the marketing team to meet business goals and drive growth in the Japanese market. The position offers significant responsibility and a clear path to becoming a Marketing Director.


Key Responsibilities:
  • - Create and execute marketing strategies that align with company objectives.
  • - Set goals and performance targets for the marketing team, improving coordination in brand management, public relations, and support.
  • - Lead and mentor a team of seven, including brand managers, a PR manager/designer, and an assistant. Conduct performance reviews and provide growth opportunities.
  • - Manage the marketing budget and assess the success of marketing activities. Present performance insights and ROI analysis to senior management.
  • - Work with sales and operations to enhance brand development and marketing reviews, while maintaining relationships with external partners.
  • - Translate for the Managing Director during key meetings.
  • - Lead digital marketing efforts, encourage innovative marketing approaches, and stay updated on new marketing technologies and trends.
  • - Monitor trends and competitor activities in the Japanese wine market, identify growth opportunities, and guide market research to inform strategy.

Candidate Profile:
  • - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • - 5-7 years of experience in marketing or sales, ideally in the wine or luxury goods sector, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • - Proven success in the Japanese market with international experience.
  • - Native-level Japanese and business-level English skills.
  • - Strong knowledge of Japanese wine market trends and a passion for wine culture; JSA or WSET certification is a plus.
  • - Excellent communication and leadership skills, strategic thinking, and project management abilities.
  • - Experience managing budgets and analyzing marketing ROI, with strong networking and creative marketing skills.
