Legal Counsel

Our client, a leading company in the retail industry with a global presence, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their innovative team. This role offers the opportunity to provide counsel and advice to various business functions in Japan, working closely with cross-functional partners and leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Advise on commercial matters and transactions
- Draft and negotiate complex contracts
- Resolve legal issues related to consumers and partners
- Collaborate to improve legal service quality and efficiency
- Provide legal guidance for strategic partnerships
- Support store development and supply chain legal matters

Qualifications:

- 8+ years in law firm or in-house legal counsel
- Licensed to practice law in Japan or another jurisdiction
- Experience in commercial, consumer, and advertisement law in Japan
- Fluent in Japanese and English, oral and written
- Experience with drafting and negotiating complex contracts
- Experience in multinational enterprise is preferred but not mandatory
