Solo IT Support Engineer, Mid-Size Finance Company! (10m, Remote Work OK!)
Our client are a respected finance company in Tokyo. They are recruiting an IT Support Engineer. You'll work independently with a lot of autonomy, & you will collaborate with global HQ.
Ideal candidates will have significant experience in financial or FinTech companies.

Key Responsibilities
- - Manage internal network infrastructure and server room equipment.
- - Provide IT support and maintenance to internal end-users.
- - Design, implement, and maintain system connections with financial institutions in Japan.
- - Oversee Business Continuity Planning (BCP) system operations.
- - Ensure quality and efficiency of IT services across departments.
- - Prepare and manage system overview documents.
- - Handle network management, desktop support, email, market data, server, database, telephone systems, security, internet services, and disaster recovery.
- - Maintain applications according to BCP requirements.
- - Coordinate with global system personnel and supervise contractors for system-related tasks.
- - Communication with JPX, JSDA, and JSCC.
Required Skills
- - Fluency in Japanese and English.
- - Over five years of relevant experience.
- - Experience in financial or FinTech companies.
- - Technical skills in:
- - Desktop PC (Windows, MS applications, VDI, Teams phone, RingCentral)
- - Workstation (Linux, C/C++, SQL)
- - Smartphone (iOS/Android)
- - Management tools (JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow preferred)
- - Web programming
- - Data center/Server room management
- - Telecom engineering
- - Network engineering and security
- - Telephone system and PBX administration
- - JPX/PTS system architecture
- - Securities system knowledge (trading, clearing/settlement, market data, SFTP, SI-Net, Zengin)
