Human Resources Director - New Hotel Opening in Tokyo!

Our client are a global hotel / hospitality group with locations around the world recruiting a Human Resources Director for a new hotel in Tokyo.

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role and build a HR team from scratch. Ideal candidates will have experience as an Assistant HR Manager in a large hotel or HR Manager in a smaller property - but other candidates are welcome.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Build HR team.
• - Provide HR guidance and solutions
• - Lead daily HR operations.
• - Assist managers with employee lifecycles, including recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and training.
• - Serve as the main HR contact for department managers
• - Offer support on Employee Relations and Performance Management.
• - Lead Payroll and HR System management.

Qualifications:

• - 10+ years HR experience.
• - Extensive knowledge of Japanese Employment Law.
• - Must be fluent in Japanese.
• - Hotel experience preferred (especially pre-opening experience!)
• - Experience setting up HR function at new business or property (preferred).
