Head of IT (Global Retail Group)

Our client is a major retail client, seeking a Head of IT to direct all Japan tech operations. You will lead the entire IT department in Japan, and collaborate with both global and regional teams for digital transformation projects.

Responsibilities:

Lead & manage IT teams.
Act as a key contact for regional/global IT teams for system implementation and integration.
Oversee ERP system management and support, along with CRM, Data Warehouse/BI, and Disaster Recovery projects.
Handle stakeholder management, risk identification, mitigation strategies, and maintain documentation.
Manage vendor relations for IT equipment, software, and services.
Ensure robustness of network infrastructure to support business needs.
Oversee IT budget and asset management.
Develop and enforce IT policies, workflows, and guidelines, with thorough technical documentation.

Qualifications:

At least 13 years of relevant experience.
Skilled in Microsoft D365, M365, and Microsoft-based networking/storage systems.
Knowledgeable in hardware systems (laptops, printers, network storage devices, Cisco Meraki infrastructure).
Proficient in communication, business planning, and project management.
IT certifications (CCNA, PMP, MCSE, ITIL, etc.) are advantageous.
Experience in retail sector (preferred).
