Data Solutions Engineer - Global Investment Bank

Responsibilities

• Design and build innovative solutions aligned to current and future state platform framework
• Rapidly develop software in compliance with the company's SDLC standards and toolchains
• Partner with business data stakeholders to ensure their needs are captured and met
• Work closely with internal and external IT teams to implement DMT's strategic objectives

Requirements

Mandatory Tech skills

• Core Java (v.8 or later) or Python 3 development experience on Unix/Linux, including related technologies (JDBC, JMX, JMS, SPRING) and multi-threading
• Writing complex RDBMS SQL (on MS SQL Server, Oracle or similar)
• Cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Multi-instance, multi-component, multi-threaded systems with high availability production setups across regions
• DevOps

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computing, Math or Engineering discipline
• Relevant financial services technology experience
• Experience developing applications for public/private/hybrid clouds
• Development experience of any of the following technologies: Snowflake, AWS cloud, Linux/Unix Shell Scripting, Python 3, Restful APIs, Docker/Kubernetes and micro services
• Data Security principles and implementation challenges
• Application and data architecture models and design patterns
• Enterprise Change and Incident Management (ITIL or similar)
• Experience working with offshore teams
