Data Science Engineer

Our client is the largest e-commerce company in Japan, and third largest e-commerce marketplace company worldwide, they currently looking for a data science engineer to join their international team.

Position Details

- Work on science projects with members of our Offline Behaviors & Intelligence team

- Develop data science and data management applications

- Work with Project Management team to gather business requirements, set evaluation metrics and calculate if the solution meets/exceeds them

- Work with science, engineering and product teams to adapt prototypes in production

- Design, Develop, Test, and Deploy. The entire software engineering process stack

Mandatory Qualifications:

• • - Experience building data management & science solutions to problems in: Telco, Mobility and general Geo Spatial data applications (ex. User behavior extraction, user segment building, multi-data source user behavior combination, campaign target design, mobility data analysis, Telco data, GPS & IP data)

    - Understanding general user behavior, especially offline behaviors in comparison to online

    - Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, econometrics or equivalent practical experience.

    - 5+ years of data engineering and/or software development experience.

    - English fluency and ability to communicate effectively with researchers, engineers, and business people

    - Strong programming experience in one or more of the following: Python, R, Scala, Java, C, C++
