Customs / Export Control Advisory Senior Manager

Our client are a global consulting group, recruiting a Senior Manager for Customs and Export Control. You'll lead a team & provide expert advice on export control and customs-related issues to our global customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Lead a team of consultants.
• - Advise clients exporting from Japan on regulatory requirements and compliance.
• - Help prepare internal manuals, customer screening, and export licenses.
• - Research and advise on overseas export control regulations.
• - Assist with post-export inspections and in-house audits.
• - Help clients obtain AEO.
• - Identify & address potential export/import/customs problems in client supply chains.
• - Provide advice on customs compliance systems.
• - Assist in implementing FTA/EPA, training clients, and preparing in-house manuals.
• - Review clients' trade situations and related contracts

Requirements:

• - At least 5+ years' relevant experience.
• - Leadership experience (preferred).
• - Knowledge of export control laws and regulations in Japan and other countries.
• - STC Expert or STC Legal Expert (preferred).
• - Experience applying for AEO and implementing ERP systems (preferred).
• - Customs broker certification (preferred).
• - Fluent in both Japanese & English.
