Role Overview The Equity Business Analyst / Project Manager will work closely with Equity Trading, Sales, and Technology teams to deliver change initiatives across front-office trading platforms and related systems. The role combines business analysis, delivery ownership, and stakeholder management in a fast-paced, revenue-critical trading environment. The position acts as a key bridge between the Equity business and global technology teams, ensuring regulatory, operational, and strategic initiatives are delivered effectively in Japan. Key Responsibilities
Partner with Equity Trading and Sales to gather, analyse, and document business requirements for front-office initiatives
Translate trading workflows into clear functional specifications and user stories for development teams
Own end-to-end delivery of projects, including scope, timeline, dependencies, and risk management
Manage stakeholders across Front Office, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and global teams
Coordinate UAT planning and execution, ensuring solutions meet business expectations
Support regulatory and control-driven initiatives (FSA, J-SOX, market changes) impacting Equity platforms
Facilitate governance forums, status reporting, and steering committee updates
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
Required Experience & Skills
7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager within Equity IT or capital markets technology
Strong understanding of Equity trading workflows (cash equities, derivatives, order lifecycle, market connectivity)
Proven experience delivering front-office technology change in an investment bank environment
Hands-on experience with Agile and/or hybrid delivery models
Excellent stakeholder management skills with Front Office and senior technology leadership
Business-level Japanese and fluent English required
