Our client is a global insurance company currently expanding their development team to support the business and contribute to its growth.

Application Development Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead functional implementation and confirmation of requirements from stakeholders
• Hands-on solution implementation
• Code quality responsibility
• Production support
• Development process improvement

Requirements

Mandatory Experience

• At least 3+ years experience in delivering strategic business-enabling applications
• Fluent English and Business Japanese
• Experience in participating in large projects collaborating with regional/global teams and multiple stakeholders
• Strong knowledge in Java, Oracle Web Technologies and Linux
• Have working experience utilizing DevOps concept

Advantageous Experience

• Insurance industry
• Software development on Guidewire insurance

Development Team Manager

Responsibilities

Leverage your communication, leadership and technical expertise skills to help define and implement best practices, collaborate with stakeholders and build the skills and capacity of the dev team to deliver high quality and user satisfying software solutions

Requirements

Mandatory Experience

• At least 7+ years experience as a software engineer
• Fluent English and Business Japanese
• Technical competence with both front end and back end development
• Strong knowledge in Java, Oracle Web Technologies and Linux
• Expertise with Java, Gosu or another Java equivalent/similar languag

Advantageous Experience

• AWS, GCP, Azure or similar cloud application development
• SDLC and Agile development
• Modern relational database operations and performance optimization
• APIs and microservice architecture
• Code versioning tools
• Code quality tools
• JS libraries and frameworks
• Guidewire, Al Fresco experience
• Insurance or financial services industry experience
