Specialized Group is currently searching for a Financial Controller for an energy technology company.

This position will suit a finance professional with excellent organization skills. Demonstrated ability in financial management is required for this role.

The right candidate will be managing and consulting on the finance and accounting workflow of the company. Key experience with US-GAAP, J-GAAP, and local Japanese statutory tax rules is needed. The role reports directly to the Director of Accounting. Working knowledge of renewable energy companies is an advantage.

There is an excellent set of compensation and benefits for this position.

Solid communication and organization skills are required for this role. This includes speaking English at a business level, and fluent level Japanese skills.

Required Skills

• Fluent level Japanese.
• Conversational level English.
• 10 years’ experience in finance including accounting, treasury, and/or tax.
• Strong understanding of US-GAAP, J-GAAP, and local Japanese statutory tax rules.
• Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
• Process-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be comfortable communicating with senior management and external auditors.
• Highly motivated, hands-on, and results oriented.
• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office programs, and ERP systems.
• Experience in the Energy sector is an advantage.
