Senior Tax Accountant (Global Chemical Company)

Our client are a global chemical company with a strong market position in Japan, searching for a Senior Tax Accountant.

The suitable candidate will have experience with complex tax and accounting functions in an international setting. This is an opportunity to play an important role in supporting strategic financial management.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, manage, and reconcile tax returns, VAT, and corporate taxes.
• Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and submission of consolidation documents.
• Manage cash flows and foreign exchange operations.
• Compile and analyze financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Conduct broker reconciliations.
• Prepare statutory accounts.
• Work with both internal and external auditors.
• Produce financial forecasts and budgets.
• Conduct variance analyses to identify financial discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience in tax / general accounting.
• Certification as a Public Tax Accountant (preferred).
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Knowledge of Japanese GAAP.
• Proficient in SAP and Excel.
• Complete fluency in Japanese language.
