We are looking for a detail-oriented Planning Specialist to join a leading kitchenware company in Tokyo. This role is vital for making sure products are available when needed by managing inventory and improving demand forecasts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and apply inventory plans to avoid running out of stock for key products.
- Work with product design teams to plan seasonal orders and ensure timely launches.
- Keep annual and monthly forecasts up to date for main product categories.
- Provide 13-month rolling forecasts following S&OP processes.
- Analyze weekly sales data by channel and product type.
- Prepare reports comparing current performance with budgets and past results.
- Share insights in team meetings and suggest ways to improve performance.
- Predict sales for marketing campaigns to hit seasonal targets.
- Recommend and apply strategies to boost low-performing products.
- Work with teams locally and globally to manage order sizes and inventory risks.
- Report sales results and forecast accuracy in monthly supply chain meetings.
- Manage factory transitions and update on potential inventory issues.
- Plan inventory for wholesale and special events.
- Check stock levels and assess the feasibility and profitability of proposed activities.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in planning, supply chain, or similar areas.
- English proficiency
- Experience with BI tools like Power BI is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in project management or leadership roles is a plus.
- Knowledge of systems like Navision, Cegid, Power BI, and BillOne.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
