M&A Lead - Fast-Growing IT Platform Startup

Our client are a rapidly growing IT platform startup, recruiting an M&A Lead, You'll drive growth through mergers and acquisitions.

This role is key to shaping the company's future, from initial M&A strategy to post-merger integration.

You'll be based in Tokyo, but have opportunities for frequent business travel. You'll help expand the company's service areas from Osaka to other regions in Japan.

Key Responsibilities

• - Negotiate acquisition terms and structure M&A deals.
• - Develop and implement sourcing strategies with industry leaders, financial institutions, and brokers.
• - Lead due diligence, coordinating with accountants, lawyers, and labor consultants.
• - Create and execute post-merger integration (PMI) plans, including setting up PMO structures and 100-day strategies.
• - Manage the integration process to ensure smooth transitions and alignment with company goals.
• - Mentor the M&A and PMI team, promoting a collaborative and results-driven environment.

Requirements

• - Proven experience in M&A or PMI within a consulting firm or corporate setting.
• - Strong background in corporate planning and M&A.
• - Ability to lead PMI efforts and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• - Must be fluent in Japanese.
