M&A Analyst / Associate - New Headcount – Strong Deal Pipeline for 2025

After a highly productive 2024, this global investment bank is looking to expand its business in 2025 with 2 additions to the team.

With their organic approach to building a stable and sustainable investment banking division in Japan, they are looking for a talented M&A Analyst to join their growing team.

With a healthy pipeline of deal flow for 2025, most of the work will be execution based, where you can utilize your modelling and valuation skillset.

The firm has a flat team structure, and you will work directly alongside senior bankers on deals across all industry sectors, domestic and cross-border.

The bank and the senior bankers are highly reputable in the market and are looking for proactive individuals who are interested in working on the end-to-end process of the transaction.

In return, you will be working with some of the most talented bankers in the industry on high profile, large cap deals.

Responsibilities

• Strategic advisory for mergers and acquisitions

• Analyzing complex and sophisticated financial data

• End to end execution process including due diligence, valuation and financial modeling

• Create reports and provide critical qualitative and quantitative analysis

• In-depth financial and economic research

• Partner with bankers and senior external stakeholders

Skills & Qualifications

• 1-5 years’ experience in investment banking, consultancy or corporate advisory

• Strong financial modelling skills with the ability to build fully integrated models

• Proactive, passionate and able to work under pressure on multiple transactions

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to present

• Analytical, quantitative and possess the ability to influence

• Bachelor’s degree and above

• Fluent in Japanese, business English
