Labor Relations Partner - (up to 22m JPY/ Pharmaceutical Industry)

We are looking for a Labor Relations Partner for a leading pharmaceutical company in Tokyo, Japan. This role is key in forming labor strategies that align with local laws and global company goals. Key Responsibilities
  • - Create and apply labor relations strategies following Japanese labor laws.
  • - Advise management and HR teams on labor issues.
  • - Build and maintain good relationships with labor unions.
  • - Manage the compensation cycle, ensuring it meets local standards.
  • - Handle collective bargaining agreements and labor contracts.
  • - Resolve employee grievances and disciplinary issues according to laws.
  • - Work with business leaders to align labor strategies with company goals.
  • - Keep up-to-date with Japanese labor laws to ensure compliance.
  • - Support changes in the company from a labor relations viewpoint.

Qualifications

  • - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Law, or related field.
  • - More than 5 years of experience in labor relations.
  • - Strong knowledge of Japanese labor laws and practices.
  • - Experience in collective bargaining and working with unions.
  • - Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • - Fluent in Japanese and English.
  • - Experience in multinational companies is a plus.
