A leading company in the retail sector is looking for an HR Specialist to join their team in Tokyo. Key Responsibilities:
- Post job listings, find potential candidates, screen applications, and set up interviews.
- Manage onboarding, including preparing contracts and organizing orientation.
- Work with external vendors on payroll and social insurance, and handle compensation and benefits specific to the country.
- Keep the HRIS system updated and help with market surveys and compensation reports.
- Prepare monthly payroll reports and assist with budget analysis.
- Track payroll processing, explain budget differences, and help with budget forecasts and market research.
- Support biannual performance reviews, employee engagement events, provide general admin support, and join in various HR projects.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience as an HR generalist, preferably in retail or hospitality.
- Basic understanding of Japan Labor Law.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, team-focused approach.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure with attention to detail.
- English skills are a plus, but not essential.
