Our client, a leading company in the luxury retail industry in Japan, is seeking a GL Manager/Assistant Manager for their Global Fashion & Luxury Group.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a team in the Finance Shared Service Center, focusing on general accounting, closing, and reporting. The position provides a chance to work with SAP finance modules and engage in continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and direct general accounting team

- 一般会計チームのリードと指導

- Supervise closing activities efficiently and timely

- 効率的かつタイムリーな決算活動の監督

- Maintain chart of accounts in accounting system

- 会計システムにおける勘定科目表の維持

- Direct preparation of financial reporting

- 財務報告書の作成指導

- Liaise with auditors for statutory requirements

- 法的要件に基づく監査対応

- Recruit, train, and coach GL team personnel

- GLチームの人材採用、トレーニング、育成

- Coordinate with departments for closing work

- 他部署との決算業務調整

- Implement IT projects related to GL process

- GLプロセスに関連するITプロジェクトの実施

Qualifications:

応募資格：

- 10+ years experience in general accounting

- 一般会計の実務経験10年以上

- 5+ years leadership experience in accounting

- 会計分野でのリーダーシップ経験5年以上

- Fluent in Japanese and business-level English

- 日本語に堪能でビジネスレベルの英語力

- Knowledge of JGAAP and IFRS accounting rules

- JGAAPおよびIFRSの会計ルールの知識

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred but not mandatory

- 会計学の学士号が望ましいが必須ではありません

- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred but not mandatory

- SAPまたは類似ERPシステムの経験が望ましいが必須ではありません

- Experience in a shared services center is preferred but not mandatory
