Our client are a global consulting group, looking for a Business Consultant with expertise in the energy / gas / oil sectors.

You will use your industry knowledge to lead important transformation projects across a range of business areas. Your work will include strategic management, industry changes, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Develop and implement transformation strategies across multiple business areas (eg. sustainability, global strategy, M&A, and HR).
• - Oversee energy portfolio management, customer operations, and IT/DX infrastructure updates.
• - Create new business opportunities, including international investments and regulatory compliance post-legal separation.
• - Manage cross-functional teams.
• - Help develop profitability models.
• - Assist in overseas power generation investments.
• - Drive improvements in call centers and customer relationship management models.
• - Lead digital transformation strategies across SCM, marketing, R&D, and production.
• - Formulate strategies for renewable energy and circular economy platforms.

Qualifications:

• - Experience working with - or in - the energy, gas, oil, chemical sectors.
• Experience working with materials sectors (e.g., steel, non-ferrous metals, pulp & paper, cement) is also preferred.
• - Previous consulting experience (preferred)
• - Ability to create industry-wide transformation strategies.
• - Excellent skills in engaging and influencing stakeholders.
• - Proven experience in planning and executing business development and operational improvement projects.
• - Must be fluent in Japanese.
