APAC HR Business Partner Manager

We are seeking a HRBP Manager to take APAC responsibilities for a prominent company in the entertainment industry. This role is based in central Tokyo.

This is an opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take regional responsibility.

This position requires fluent English. Japanese communication ability is also preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement HR programs and initiatives in collaboration with regional HR teams.
  • Support leadership in people and organizational decision-making.
  • Improve employee experience throughout their tenure.
  • Engage and retain key talent in partnership with business leaders.
  • Assist in transforming the organization to create efficient teams.
  • Integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion into business and HR strategies.
  • Develop a culture of collaboration, agility, and transparency.
  • Handle employee relations, coordinating with legal and ER teams for complex issues.
  • Keep employee and organizational data for client groups up to date.
  • Monitor and manage headcount and labor costs within budget.
  • Act as an engaged HR partner across the organization.


Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of HR experience, with 3 years in a senior HRBP role.
  • Experience in matrixed or regional roles.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Japanese language skills are beneficial.
  • Capable of balancing business needs with employee advocacy.
