Our client are a major international financial services firm, recruiting a Senior Compliance Advisory Manager. This role offers a good work-life balance and the opportunity to work in a globally recognized company.

Responsibilities

• Lead & manage team.
• Advise on Regulatory Compliance risks for Japan MSS.
• Lead and develop the Compliance Function in Japan.
• Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, codes, and policies.
• Improve compliance control framework.
• Provide guidance on compliance risks for clients, transactions, and products.
• Oversee second-line governance of Regulatory Compliance risks.
• Act as advisor in governance forums and issue management.
• Report on policy effectiveness and regulatory compliance issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with regulators.
• Establish a risk-based monitoring framework for compliance policies.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a regulator or senior compliance manager in financial services.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance risk management.
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese.
• Proven ability to develop practical solutions to complex issues.
• Legal or formal accountancy qualification (advantageous)
• Relevant risk/audit background (advantageous).
