Our client, a renowned international hotel chain, is seeking an HR Director for their Sapporo location. This role offers the unique opportunity to lead and develop the Human Resources function from the ground up, shaping the organizational culture and driving strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee HR division operations and strategy implementation
- Represent HR in hotel leadership committee
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR policies
- Oversee recruitment and selection processes
- Manage employee welfare and benefits programs
- Lead union negotiations and employee relations
- Develop and implement DE&I initiatives
- Prepare and manage HR budget and financial objectives
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of HR management experience in hospitality (mandatory)
- Fluency in Japanese and English (mandatory)
- Experience with Japanese labor laws and regulations (mandatory)
- Proven track record in employee relations and union negotiations
- Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies
- Experience with HR software like Workday or SAP is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to manage HR budgets and financial objectives
- Experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
