Accounting Manager (9m JPY! Team Management, Direct report to APAC CFO)

Our client are a global manufacturing company, recruiting for an Accounting Manager. This is a strategic leadership role, with team management responsibilities. You'll report directly to the APAC CFO.

Responsibilities:

• - Lead & manage a team.
• - Manage monthly and year-end book closures.
• - Review monthly reports for US parent company
• - Organize year-end audits
• - Gather data for corporate tax returns and manage tax audits
• - Check tax returns, including Consumption tax, Business office tax, and Depreciable asset tax
• - Support finance-related projects
• - Liaise with the US parent company for monthly reviews and accounting procedures

Requirements:

• - 7+ years relevant experience
• - Experience in financial statements, including audit handling
• - Knowledge of US GAAP and J GAAP
• - Expertise in corporate and consumption tax requirements
• - Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
• - Experience in a manufacturing company (preferred)
• - Experience in an audit firm (preferred)
• - Japanese or US CPA license holder (preferred)
• - Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP (preferred)
• - Must be fluent in Japanese
