🟦 English JD Job Title: Shopper & Category Strategy Analyst Department: Commercial Excellence – Shopper Marketing Line Manager: Shopper Marketing Manager Location: Tokyo, Japan (Fully flexible hybrid – no required office days) Role Purpose To identify category growth opportunities and drive above-market growth in both sales and profit for retail partners and a leading global consumer healthcare company. Acting as a "Solution Provider," this role develops shopper-driven, data-backed proposals to improve ASV (Assortment, Shelf Space, Visibility) in stores, and collaborates closely with the sales team to execute these through the Joint Business Planning (JBP) cycle. Key Responsibilities
Analyze market reports, POS, and shopper data to uncover business opportunities
Visualize the current ASV (assortment, space, visibility) performance of the company’s brands to identify improvement areas
Collaborate with sales and key customers to co-create proposals aligned with the customer's growth strategies, reflecting them in JBP plans and ensuring execution
Create and customize in-store materials including “5-Mores” proposals for internal sales and customer stakeholders
Localize tools and materials provided by global, regional, and KAM teams to suit the Japanese sales environment
Support optimization of BI processes, data mining, and analytical modeling
Requirements Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Commercial specialization (e.g., category management, marketing, or finance) is preferred
Work Experience
5+ years of experience in the FMCG industry (especially in HQ/customer marketing, trade, or category roles)
Strong track record in customer data analysis and turning insights into action
