Our client, a leader in the insurance sector is seeking a Senior Finance Business Manager to provide critical support to the CFO and lead a range of cross-divisional strategic initiatives. This role will focus on fostering collaboration and driving efficiency within the Finance divisions.
Responsibilities:
- Spearheading the financial closing process in compliance with Japanese accounting standards, budget planning, and expense tracking
- Guiding the update of the Finance area's enterprise control framework assessments
- Coordinating with credit rating agencies and collaborating with the Group Investment Office
- Planning and executing Finance town hall meetings to cultivate a cohesive work environment
- Proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks, while proposing innovative solutions to optimize Finance operations
- Ensuring adherence to finance policies, guidelines, and regulatory mandates
- Directing long-term projects and programs with broad implications on Finance functions and other areas
Qualifications:
- Comprehensive experience in financial accounting, planning, actuarial and investment matters, consulting, auditing, risk management, or related fields in the insurance industry
- Prior experience in senior leadership and managerial roles
- Demonstrated soft skills, encompassing problem-solving, time management, and leadership abilities
- Commitment to driving process improvements and organizational transformations
- Proven expertise in managing medium-to-long-term process changes as a project/program manager
- Bilingual fluency in English and Japanese
- Professional certification as a Public Accountant or an equivalent qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Outstanding financial, strategic thinking, analytical, and negotiation skills
