Our client, a leading e-commerce marketplace platform in Japan, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their expanding team. This role offers the opportunity to take on broader responsibilities in financial operations, including inventory accounting and financial analysis, while collaborating across functions to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. The position offers a competitive salary of 10 million JPY and requires proficiency in both Japanese and English.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee journal entries for general ledger accuracy
- Manage inventory accounting operations for accuracy and efficiency
- Support tax filings and coordinate with tax advisors
- Monitor accounts payable for timely processing and compliance
- Provide financial analysis to support business decisions
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Support audits and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
- Implement accounting treatments per Group Policies and JGAAP
- Propose inventory process improvements based on data analysis

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in inventory accounting
- Strong knowledge of Japanese GAAP and inventory-related accounting practices
- Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
- Familiarity with ERP systems, WMS, or inventory tracking tools
- Experience with financial analysis and reporting
- Experience with tax compliance and coordination with tax advisors
