Our client, a company in the fashion retail industry, is seeking a Senior Accountant for a hybrid role with a salary range of 6-8 million JPY. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Finance Manager to improve financial processes and manage daily accounting operations. The role requires fluency in Japanese and offers a hybrid work setup.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage overall accounting including AP, treasury, and inventory
- Prepare financial statements and regulatory reporting documents
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Process SAP entries for vendor invoices and bank wire transfers
- Monitor and manage fixed assets
- Support audits and tax-related tasks
- Train store staff on finance matters
- Improve current work processes and procedures

Qualifications:

- Must have SAP experience
- Japanese Bookkeeping level 2 certification
- Minimum 5 years in international environment with English base accounting
- Fluency in Japanese
- Experience in retail accounting is preferred but not mandatory
