We are looking for a Sales Director to lead sales efforts in Japan's IT industry. You will maintain current client relationships and grow new business. This role needs fluency in Japanese and English and involves planning and executing strategies to meet revenue goals. You will have the chance to shape a high-performing sales team, drive revenue growth, and work with other teams to improve client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute a sales plan to meet revenue targets in Japan.
- Find and pursue new business opportunities, presenting products and services to attract new clients.
- Manage and grow existing client accounts to ensure long-term partnerships and customer retention.
- Lead the sales team in prospecting, lead qualification, proposal presentation, and contract negotiation.
- Build strong client relationships, focusing on customer satisfaction and exploring upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Track key account metrics and report performance to senior management.
- Motivate and develop a high-performance sales team focused on achieving targets.
- Work with marketing and operations to align strategies and improve sales efforts.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to find opportunities and reduce risks.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences to drive product and service improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in selling technology products and services within system integrators or tech vendors.
- Proven success with an Annual Contract Value (ACV) quota of $8-10 million or more.
- Native-level Japanese proficiency with a strong understanding of the Japanese market and business practices.
- Business-level English communication skills.
- Extensive experience managing large profit and loss accounts with strong financial skills.
- Ability to engage with C-level executives in client ecosystems.
- Understanding of customer experience needs and ability to guide solution teams to develop effective value propositions.
- Experience in a global business environment, effectively using international resources.
- Analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Willingness to travel within Japan and occasionally internationally.
