Regional Financial Controller, Real Estate

Position: Regional Financial Controller
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Responsibilities:

• Manage the finance function for the region and work closely with the CFO.
• Ensure all financial transactions and reporting are accurate, timely, and in compliance with statutory and internal requirements.
• Lead and oversee the regional finance team, collaborating with Finance, Corporate Finance, Leasing, and Operations to achieve the organization's strategic goals and enhance financial performance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of systems and processes to support accounting closings and forecasts.
• Act as the regional leader for Accounting and Financial Operations in Japan.

Requirements:

• A qualified accountant with at least 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 10 years in a managerial capacity in a sizable organization, with a proven track record in financial control and management.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to establish teamwork and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Dependable and ethical.
• Preferred qualifications include a background in the Big 4 and native-level Japanese language skills with good working knowledge of English.
