Manager of Product Safety & Risk Management
Responsibilities in Pharmacovigilance (PV) Operations:
- Processing and analyzing drug safety information from various sources, including domestic and international literature, conferences, and clinical trials, and preparing comprehensive reports.
- Managing and overseeing PV outsourcing partners, including monitoring their progress, providing Q&A support, handling incidents, and organizing meetings.
- Developing and managing educational materials, such as Risk Management Plans, to provide safety information to healthcare institutions.
- Conducting self-inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Providing training and education on pharmacovigilance practices.
- Maintaining accurate records of safety data and related documentation.
- Creating, revising, and managing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manuals within the department.
- Supporting audits and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
- Facilitating communication with Global Headquarters/Branches for effective collaboration.
- Coordinating and managing contracts with domestic and international partner companies, specifically related to product transfer and pharmacovigilance agreements.
- Assisting in re-examinations and responding to inspections by regulatory authorities such as PMDA.
- Developing and updating Risk Management Plans.
Required Qualifications:
Must:
- Possess 5 or more years of experience in PV operations within the pharmaceutical industry (including CRO experience), encompassing the aforementioned responsibilities.
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of GxP regulations and PV-related regulatory requirements, such as GVP, GPSP, GCP, ICH-E2D, E2E, etc.
- Display experience in team and project management.
- Have proficiency in operating safety databases, such as ARGUS, ARIS, or similar systems, or demonstrate competence in system administration.
- Exhibit skills in document creation using Microsoft Business Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Application for reexamination experience
- Adapt flexibly to evolving business environments and proactively provide suggestions based on knowledge and experience.
- Showcase leadership abilities as a manager, ensuring effective communication and coordination with team members.
Preferable:
- Possess experience in development projects related to PV systems, such as adverse event reporting systems.
- Demonstrate competence in vendor management.

- Hold qualifications or degrees in the life sciences field (e.g., pharmacist, nurse, degree in a scientific discipline, etc.).

- 国内外の提携企業との調整と契約管理を行い、製品移管や薬剤安全性に関連する契約に関与する。
- 再審査を支援し、PMDAなどの規制当局の査察に対応する。
- リスク管理計画の作成と改訂を行う。
必要な資格:
必須:
- 製薬業界(CROの経験を含む)での5年以上のPV業務経験(上記の業務を網羅していることが
望ましい)。
- GxP規制とPV関連の規制要件(GVP、GPSP、GCP、ICH-E2D、E2Eなど)に基礎的な知識を持つ。
- チームおよびプロジェクト管理の経験を有する。
- 安全性データベース(ARGUS、ARISなど)の操作またはシステム管理の経験を持つ。
- Microsoft Business Applications(Word、Excel、PowerPoint)を使用した文書作成のスキルを持つ。
- 変化する業務環境に柔軟に適応し、知識と経験に基づいて積極的な提案ができる能力を持つ。
