Position Summary｜職務概要
This position leads the Oncology Therapeutic Area (TA) within the Medical Affairs division, shaping and executing the medical strategy to maximize the value of the company’s oncology portfolio in Japan.

Key Responsibilities｜主な職務内容
Strategic Leadership｜戦略的リーダーシップ
- Lead the overall medical strategy for assigned oncology therapeutic areas in alignment with global and local business objectives.
- Develop and oversee the Japan Medical Plan, data generation strategy, and publication roadmap.
- Ensure scientific accuracy and alignment with regulatory and compliance standards.
- 担当オンコロジー領域の全体的なメディカル戦略をリードし、グローバルおよびローカルのビジネス目標と整合させる。
- 日本のメディカルプラン、データジェネレーション戦略、パブリケーション計画を策定・管理。
- 科学的な正確性と法規制・コンプライアンス基準への整合を確保。
- Lead and mentor a team of Medical Affairs professionals, including MSLs and Medical Managers.
- Foster collaboration and capability building within the team to strengthen scientific and strategic excellence.
- メディカルアフェアーズ部門（MSLやメディカルマネージャーを含む）のチームを率い、メンバーの成長と能力開発を支援。
- 科学的・戦略的な卓越性を高めるため、チーム内の協働を促進。
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with top-tier medical experts and institutions.
- Plan and execute advisory boards, scientific exchanges, and investigator-initiated research (IIR) support.
- 主要な医療専門家や医療機関との強固なパートナーシップを構築・維持。
- アドバイザリーボード、サイエンティフィックエクスチェンジ、IIR（医師主導研究）の企画・実施を主導。
- Partner closely with Clinical Development, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, and Global Medical teams.
- Contribute medical expertise to product launch readiness, life-cycle management, and scientific communication.
- 臨床開発、マーケティング、薬事、グローバルメディカルチームなどの他部門と密接に連携。
- 製品発売準備、ライフサイクルマネジメント、サイエンティフィックコミュニケーションにおけるメディカル専門性を提供。
Education｜学歴
- Advanced degree in medicine, pharmacy, or life sciences (MD, PhD, or PharmD preferred).
- 医学・薬学・ライフサイエンス分野の高等学位（MD、PhD、PharmDなどが望ましい）。
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry with at least 5 years in Medical Affairs leadership.
- Proven track record in oncology and experience managing cross-functional medical projects.
- 製薬業界で10年以上の経験、うち少なくとも5年以上のメディカルアフェアーズでのリーダーシップ経験。
- オンコロジー領域での実績および部門横断的なメディカルプロジェクトマネジメント経験。
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and team management skills.
- Deep scientific understanding and ability to translate data into actionable strategy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
- 優れたリーダーシップ、戦略的思考力、チームマネジメントスキル。
- 科学的理解力とデータを実行可能な戦略に落とし込む能力。
- 社内外ステークホルダーとの高いコミュニケーションおよび協働力。
- Native-level Japanese.
- 日本語ネイティブレベル。
- Willingness to travel domestically (approx. 20%) and occasionally internationally.
