We are seeking a skilled Toky-based Machine Learning Engineer to join a B2C online service in Tokyo. Our client are a global leader in their market, with tens of millions of users.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the product team from initial stages, defining project goals and deliverables.
• Develop and improve machine learning components, considering performance, cost, and lead times.
• Perform hands-on analysis, proof of concept, and prototype creation to increase project success rates.
• Engage in technical decision-making, evaluating trade-offs in system design.
• Use a range of tools and languages including Python, Go, among others, in a dynamic tech environment.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of full-time experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in machine learning, search algorithms, recommendation systems, NLP, and image processing.
• Demonstrated ability to enhance software projects with advanced algorithms.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with business and engineering teams.
• Fluency in Japanese is mandatory.
