We are recruiting a Front Office Manager for a hotel client based in Niseko, Hokkaido. The successful applicant will manage front desk operations, enhance guest services, and facilitate effective communication across departments.

Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Japanese would be beneficial.


  • Manage a team & supervise all front office functions.
  • Train staff to uphold company standards and procedures & foster a service-centric culture.
  • Set performance goals for direct reports.
  • Address guest requests and issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Liaise with housekeeping for efficient operations.
  • Keep updated knowledge of prices, rates, specials, packages, and train staff accordingly.
  • Follow established procedures for guest identification and credit checks.
  • Guide Duty Managers for efficient task completion.
  • Complete necessary reports and forms daily.
  • Work with the Property Asset Manager on operations, cash handling, and inventory replacements.
  • Implement crisis management plans as necessary.


  • Effective leadership skills.
  • Experience in staff supervision, training, and development.
  • Commitment to guest service.
  • Ability to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Proficiency in Japanese would be beneficial; conversational level is okay.
