Responsibilities: Create, translate, edit and transcreate highly visible marketing, product, ads and legal content from English to JapaneseProofread translations delivered by language service providers to ensure high quality and market suitabilityOrganize trainings and feedback sessions for translators from language service providers to give them clear and concise language-specific guidelinesMaintain language references such as terminology databases and localization style guideLead language quality improvement (QI) initiatives at the language levelAnswer and maintain queries from language service providersLiaise with marketing, product, Ads Content Control and sales teams to understand their specific requirements and quality expectationsManage and track projects handed out to our Japan local language service providersRequirements: Native level Japanese with fluency in English (MUST have)At least 3+ years of experience in translation, localization, copy editing, content authoring or writing, online marketing/advertising writingIn-house Translator experienceStrong syntactic and semantic skills to make critical judgments with confidence about translation quality and accuracyDetail-oriented, quality-focused with the ability to manage multitasks affectivelyExcellent organizational, time management and communication skillsFamiliarity with computer-aided translation platforms or tools such as SDL Studio, XTM Cloud or SmartcatKnowledge of localization processesCross-functional collaboration experience in working with stakeholders from Product, Marketing and Technical teams is a plus
