Copy writer / Translator / Transcreater

Responsibilities:

• Create, translate, edit and transcreate highly visible marketing, product, ads and legal content from English to Japanese
• Proofread translations delivered by language service providers to ensure high quality and market suitability
• Organize trainings and feedback sessions for translators from language service providers to give them clear and concise language-specific guidelines
• Maintain language references such as terminology databases and localization style guide
• Lead language quality improvement (QI) initiatives at the language level
• Answer and maintain queries from language service providers
• Liaise with marketing, product, Ads Content Control and sales teams to understand their specific requirements and quality expectations
• Manage and track projects handed out to our Japan local language service providers
  
  Requirements:
• Native level Japanese with fluency in English (MUST have)
• At least 3+ years of experience in translation, localization, copy editing, content authoring or writing, online marketing/advertising writing
• In-house Translator experience
• Strong syntactic and semantic skills to make critical judgments with confidence about translation quality and accuracy
• Detail-oriented, quality-focused with the ability to manage multitasks affectively
• Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
• Familiarity with computer-aided translation platforms or tools such as SDL Studio, XTM Cloud or Smartcat
• Knowledge of localization processes
• Cross-functional collaboration experience in working with stakeholders from Product, Marketing and Technical teams is a plus
