Business Development Manager - Travel & Hospitality
Job Description
A leading company in the food service industry is seeking a Business Development Manager. This role drives growth in key areas such as Business & Industry, Lifestyle, Education, Healthcare & Senior Living. The position focuses on discovering new business opportunities and building client relationships. Successful candidates may have opportunities for promotion to senior positions such as Sales Director or Division Leader.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the entire sales process from initial contact through proposal, contract, and project handover. This includes proposal preparation, conducting presentations, and contract negotiation.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders such as HR, Finance, Procurement, and on-site teams to understand their needs and decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with creative, financial, and sector teams to create feasible and competitive solutions. Coordinate with all relevant departments before submitting proposals.
- Work with inside sales to generate leads and update the CRM system to ensure accurate forecasting and visibility. Prepare appointment planners, visit records, and proposal documents.
- Participate in post-bid reviews and share insights to improve strategies.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales or account management
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills
- Ability to handle multiple medium-sized projects simultaneously
- A team player with a flexible approach and strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to visit clients approximately 3-4 days a week
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese; English skills are a plus
- Experience in consultative and solution-based sales
- Knowledge of food service, hospitality, or workplace services
- Interest in long-term career growth within the industry
