Based in Shibuya with a modern, well-designed office, the team works in an English-first environment with flexible working (office about once a week, otherwise remote).
Compensation is well above most Japan tech companies (Up to JPY 15M+).
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain backend services for enterprise AI products
- Design APIs, data models, and core backend architecture
- Improve reliability, performance, and developer productivity
- Work closely with product and AI teams in an English-speaking environment
- 3+ years of backend development experience
- Experience with backend languages (Python, Go, Java, etc.)
- Strong understanding of web services, databases, and cloud systems
- Japanese proficiency around JLPT N2 or above
- Comfortable working in an English-first engineering team
