The Role: To provide analytical support to the Associate Director and Head of Acquisitions in assessing prospective asset investment/divestment opportunities around Japan in line with the strategy of the fund and the business objectives.

Key Responsibilities for this role:
Assist in formulating investment strategies at the asset level and developing investment proposal for the Japanese market
Produce analysis and presentation materials on investment opportunities and market strategies; underwrite potential investment/divestment opportunities
Monitor and update transaction market activities regularly, collect potential transaction information from brokers, owners and other channels
Source data and information to support an investment pitch
Lead the valuations and feasibility analyses as required in support of any asset acquisition recommendations
Prepare investment papers, collect data and information for Q&A by fund team and IC members, contribute to asset plans and budgets
Study and find the best quality service provider/team who can perform due diligence service including market research, legal and physical
Cultivate and maintain the relationship with the service providers in areas of leasing, transaction and due diligence.
Manage investment process including CDD check, due diligence and execution of transactions
Maintain integrity of data held on relevant systems
Maintain and keep abreast of any changes in the legal and tax structure within the Japanese market and ensure structures used to hold the fund’s assets are appropriately modelled.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
High level of proficiency in English and Japanese
Keen interest in real estate investment and finance
6 to 8 years’ of working experience in Japanese real estate and investment markets will be a plus
Strong technical skills and superior knowledge of Microsoft Office software suit, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
Working knowledge in managing Argus Enterprise system will be a plus Excellent analytical and communication skills
