We are looking for a skilled Senior Accounting Manager for a client in the consumer goods industry. This role involves managing financial closings, handling tax tasks, and leading a team to ensure accurate and compliant accounting operations. The candidate should be well-versed in both US and Japanese accounting standards and possess strong leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- - Manage monthly and yearly financial closings, including tax expenses and asset/liability entries.
- - Conduct thorough accounts reconciliation and prepare financial reports and analysis.
- - Lead and mentor a team of 6-10 accounting and tax professionals, ensuring compliance with procedures and SOX regulations.
- - Work with global Corporate Finance teams to solve finance and accounting issues and develop solutions.
- - Stay updated on US and Japanese GAAP, SOX regulations, and Japanese tax laws, applying this knowledge to policy development and accounting procedures.
- - Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Corporate Finance.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- - Over 10 years of experience in accounting and tax roles.
- - In-depth knowledge of US and Japanese GAAP, SOX regulations, and Japanese Tax Law.
- - Experience with SAP's General Ledger (FI/CO module).
- - Proven experience managing teams of 5 or more for at least 3 years.
- - Strong communication skills in both English and Japanese.
- - US CPA qualification is preferred.
